2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:

- Business name and information
- Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)
2.2 Instagram Data
When you connect your Instagram account, we access and store the following data through official Instagram/Meta APIs:
- Basic Business Information: Your Instagram username, account ID, and profile information (via
instagram_business_basic permission) - Messages: Direct messages sent to your business Instagram account by customers (via
instagram_business_manage_messages permission). We read incoming messages and send automated AI-generated replies on behalf of your business.
We store encrypted access tokens to maintain your connection. Your Instagram password is never collected or stored by us.
2.3 WhatsApp Data
When you connect your WhatsApp Business account, we access:
- Business phone number and account ID
- Incoming customer messages
- Message metadata (timestamps, delivery status)
2.4 Conversation Data
We store conversation histories between your customers and the AI assistant, including:
- Incoming customer messages
- AI-generated responses sent on your behalf
- Message timestamps and delivery status
- Customer identifiers (Instagram user ID or phone number)
2.5 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information about your use of the service, including:
- Pages visited and features used
- Number of messages processed
- Browser type and device information
- IP address
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Asistify service
- Process incoming messages from your customers and generate AI-powered responses
- Store conversation history for context in ongoing customer interactions
- Improve the accuracy and quality of AI responses
- Send you service-related notifications

- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
4. Data Storage and Security
We take data security seriously and implement the following measures:
- Encryption: Access tokens and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
- Secure Database: All data is stored in Supabase with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring data isolation between users
- HTTPS: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL
- Access Control: We implement strict access controls and authentication for all API endpoints
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): To receive and send messages through Instagram and WhatsApp. Subject to Meta's Privacy Policy
- OpenAI: To generate AI responses to customer messages. Message content is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy
- Supabase: For data storage and authentication. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- With your consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share information
- Service providers: With third-party services listed above, solely to provide the Asistify service
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- Protection: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Asistify, our users, or others
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service. Specifically:
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account
- Conversation data: Retained for up to 12 months or until you delete your account, whichever comes first
- Access tokens: Stored securely and refreshed automatically; deleted when you disconnect an integration

8. Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. You can:
- Disconnect integrations: Remove the connection betweenAsistify and your Instagram/WhatsApp accounts from the dashboard
- Delete your account: Contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data
- Revoke access: Remove Asistify from your Instagram authorized apps at Instagram Settings
Upon account deletion, we will delete all your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
